I sadly had to put my sweet baby girl, Daisy, to sleep today and the team was amazing. The vet I had walked me through every step, and it was so clear to see how much she cared about both me and daisy- to ensure we were both ready for this final step. She softly explained all of our options, what is going to happen, and what to expect in the moment. My old girl had an accident as she crossed the rainbow bridge, and once the vet came back into the room after giving us a moment, she picked daisy up so gently to clean up and wrap her in her blankey. I know this is such a small thing, but as I’ve been grieving all day it’s something I keep thinking about. It was such a small act of love that made me feel better knowing my baby will be treated with care she deserves once I leave, even after she’s passed. The other vet who joined to hold my girl still to put a cannula in was equally wonderful, making me giggle in what was the worst moment of my life. I am still incredibly deep in grief, and it was very comforting to know I had the support I needed in such a lonely moment. It’s made it all a little bit easier. I didn’t catch the names of either of the wonderful ladies, but I just want them to know that I really appreciated all today.

Excellent service from initial call to register my cat to next day appointment. The vet was excellent - professional, friendly, knowledgeable. My nervous cat was quite happy with him. Very glad we transferred to Spinney Vets and would recommend without hesitation.

The staff are wonderful! My cats felt comfortable the whole time as well as me. We were seen to fast and i was made to welcome and not judged for asking any questions no matter how dumb. They r a wonderful vet that truly care about the animals.

Unfortunately, we had to have our much loved dog put down here in 2024. The vet who we went through the whole process with us, from the illness, through to the putting to sleep, was always very cold towards us and not compassionate. They didn't appreciate our children crying in the reception area. I do understand why, they like to keep upset owners away from the main reception. But this is where our children wanted to sit while it was taking place. Changed vets after this as it put us off. The vet wasn't able to be compassionate or relate to us at all. Having said that the other staff were fantastic and we appreciated their empathy.

We recently had a rescue dog who is highly reactive to strangers due to abuse history and the staff, vet & nurses dealt with him so well with his health and stress levels as their main priority even though he is a big intimidating dog. They made me feel more at ease given I was nervous with having to have him treated due to his reactivate nature. Thank you so much for not making us feel like our dog is a lost cause. Also thank you to the ladies at reception who have been friendly and helpful all the way through our visits.
