Spinney Vets Kettering Road

I used to go there and got told that some medicine for my kitten would be £3 it would of been free but wanted to give them something else so I said ok, when I went to pay they tried charging me around £20 I told them that that’s not what I got told and to even go speak to the vet, they told me it had changed and they want me to pay the larger amount now. I left and changed vets but they have been trying to take payments out, my bank keeps cancelling these and sorting them out but when I call them up I get told they are not but my bank and I can clearly see it is. Iv been told by local people to me that they would never use them and sounds like a lot of people have bad things with them. Do not go and try change if possible.

Absolutely fantastic people very much loving towards your animals not like other vets are these days and they are cheaper than most I would definitely recommend these guys all day long as they have always been the vet I've known in all the 50 years I've been alive they have amazing history and I wouldn't look anywhere else I adopted a cat or he adopted me I'm not quite sure but either way I got the help and they were very understanding Mr Pickles is now got a lovely home with midnight he is not feral anymore thank you guys for everything you do 🙏🎁👏🙌🙏💪👍💖💙❤️💯🇬🇧🐵🐒🦍🦧🐶🐕🦮🐕‍🦺🐩🐺🦊🦝🐱🐈🐈‍⬛🦁🐯🐅🐆🐴🦒

All our 3 cats are with Spinney Vets now and we are very happy with the service and care we have been receiving. Seems like our youngest loves visiting 🤣

The care and compassion this practise shows and delivers is unmatched, my baby girl Linda was savagely attacked and this vet have gone above and beyond for not only her but to our family. The reception girls, the nurses and her vet dhruv and all that work there. I’ll be forever grateful, and cannot thank them all enough❤️ the best vet in Northampton by far. Thank you x x x

Very disappointed and annoyed after a recent visit when my daughters dog was booked in for dental surgery.My daughter had been sent a link and paid £50 deposit towards the surgery.On the day of his surgery i was informed by a very rude receptionist in a busy waiting area that we had not paid a sufficient deposit.I was very upset and embarressed by this.I then proceded to pay the amount in total before his surgery which was only an estimate.I have been back since to collect medication and also to get money back.This was due to me overpaying for the surgery.It was the same receptionist who spoke to me in a rude manner.Needless to say i will not be going back there.Shame as lovely vetinary staff there just ruined by rude receptionists.

I am so disappointed with Spinney Vets. I feel they have really let me and my dog down. I was seen in January as my dog had an intermittent limp. She was given pain relief and I was told to rest her for a week and if there was no improvement she would need x-rays. The limping did improve until the beginning of March when it returned. I phoned Spinney Vets and asked for an appointment for an x-ray. I was told someone would phone me back. When I was phoned back I was told I couldn't have an x-ray appointment but would need another consultation. At this consultation the vet questioned why I was back as the plan was to x-ray and I would need to phone to book an appointment. I was provided a quote of £1197 for 2 x-rays on my dogs knee and hip under general anaesthetic, when the original plan was for sedation. I phoned to make the x-ray appointment and was again told someone would call me back. Two days later I phoned again to ask why no-one had called and was told that I would have to wait 2 - 3 weeks before I would be called back and then I would have to wait for an appointment. I found this totally unacceptable and really dont understand why it takes 2 - 3 weeks to return a phone call and make an appointment. I was that disappointed and let down by Spinney Vets i phoned a few other Vets for advise. Mawsley Vets was one i phoned. They gave me a free welcome consultation and my dog was admitted the next day for x-rays. Mawsley Vets charged me £550 for 6 x-rays of both hips and knees and a blood test under sedation. My quote from Spinney vets as mentioned was £1197 for only 2 x-rays and a general anaesthetic. How Spinney Vets feel they can justify £1197 as an acceptable quote is beyond me, and really has proved they are just in it to exploit their customers for money. I would highly recommend Mawsley Vets who are also an independent vets and will not be returning to Spinney Vets or waiting 2- 3 weeks for a phone call!

Such warm and friendly efficient staff from receptionists to vet. They clearly had a love for animals and treated my puppies superbly.
